Good afternoon and welcome back to Term 2!

It was lovely to see the children return to school on Tuesday looking so relaxed after their holiday and ready for the busy new term.

On Tuesday morning, the children all commented on how cold it was coming to school. This prompted the introduction to our new project, Autumn. We worked together with P1a to share what we already knew about Autumn and identified questions we would like to learn more about in the forthcoming weeks.
After learning about our sense of sight, both classes enjoyed our outdoor learning experience, looking for the  signs of Autumn in our playground and taking photographs with ipads to record what we had seen.  We were all suprised by the variety of leaves we found.  Back in class we sorted, organised and displayed them on a graph and by using the words most and least, interpreted what was there.
Continuing with our Autumn theme in Maths this week, we used the words biggest and smallest to focus on measuring and ordering objects by size.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
