It was wonderful to meet with more parents this week to discuss the progress made by the children this year. Everyone is now looking forward to a well-deserved Easter break.

In Maths we created Numerator/Denominator superhero posters.  These were a lot of fun to create and helped us with our understanding of fractions.  We watched a very good video explaining simplifying of fractions.  We learned about the highest common factor between the numerator and denominator and how we use this factor when we simplify.  We will continue to practice simplification.  Well done everyone!

Robbie and Isla S were part of our golden P6 Hockey team.  The team were victorious at the P6 Hockey Festival at Pitrievie Playing Fields.  Congratulations!

In Writing we started creating our first draft of our funny animal stories.  These stories will be turned into a handmade book with illustrations.  We plan to read these stories to pupils in the infant end of our school.

Lots of excellent homework is being completed by children.  Thank you also to parents for the support you give your children during these tasks.
Our wonderful Y- branch weaving looms have now been completed and they are simply wonderful.  It has been a very relaxing activity and everyone really enjoyed creating their looms.  This forms part of the work we are doing for the John Muir award.

On Friday we watched a great video about Social Skills.  We know it is a very important life skill. We had a very good discussion about the video and how we can practise and improve our own social skills.

Our Social Target Winner of the Week is Aaron.  He is kind and caring towards others in class. Well done Aaron!

We wish everyone a relaxing weekend!
