Can I just start by saying how impressed I was with the children's Scottish poetry recitations this week. I know that a number of children find this a particularly challenging task, but they all rose to the occasion, had a go and gave it their best effort. They should all feel very proud of themselves - I certainly am proud of them. A huge congratulations to Lilia, who was our overall winner, but a huge pat on the back to everyone else too.
This week we have been enthusiastically practising for our Music Festival performance next week, and we have been busy creating our props. Thank you so much to all the parents who volunteered to come and help - unfortunately I have had more volunteers than we have seats allocated to us in the theatre, so I have had to ask parents on a first come first served basis. If you have not received a phone call from me confirming that we would like your help then, on this occasion, we do not need your assistance. For the music festival can I please remind you that all children should attend in school uniform (white shirt and school tie) and have a packed lunch with them. This links nicely with our social target for next week which is 'I can come to school well presented, wearing school uniform.'
In your child's homework bag this week you will receive two letters regarding Seesaw. The instructions are enclosed for you to be able to access your child's personal learning journey, which is in their own personal folder on Seesaw. This is different to the class blog. Please sign and return the permission slip for this, as none of your child's work can be posted on Seesaw until we receive this permission from you.
Thank you for your support and co-operation
