Primary 4 started looking at symmetry in Maths and we made our own mirror symmetry designs using vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines. We hope to create a mural with our designs.
In Writing we created Japanese Haiku poems.  "Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetryHaiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. It has been great fun writing about trees and using all of our descriptive language techniques that we have been developing over the last three weeks.
In reading we have become text detectives looking for character traits and finding evidence of these traits in our group reading books. We worked in pairs.
In Art we started to work on Owl close-up pictures and we will use the wonderful medium of oil pastels to complete our Woodland Owls.
