This week we have read the story Superworm and we wrote about our favourite part of the story. We also wrote our own superworm story. Some of us retold the story and others made up a new adventure for superworm.
In numeracy we have been learning to identify 3D shapes and their properties of 3D shapes. We have been exploring the shapes and finding out which roll and which stack.
We finished our plant experiment and found out that the plant in the soil was the best grower. The plant with no water was left unchanged and the plant in the dark grew but it was a yellow colour  instead of green. We learned that it is very important that plants have water.

As we heard on Wednesday that the schools will be closed as of today. We have prepared a home pack with two weeks of activities for your child to complete at home. We have used the grid format which your child is familiar with for them to work through. Please feel free to adapt so that your child continues to learn at the pace and level that works for them.

I would recommend that they read every day to ensure they keep up with their pace and fluency. It is important that we encourage your child to reading for pleasure. I would also recommend 30 minutes of exercise each day.

These are unfamiliar times for us all and as yet no-one knows what will happen as things are changing daily. I look forward to the time when we are back together but until then I will update seesaw with information and activities.

Keep yourself safe and healthy!
Kind regards
Mrs Elvin
