Thank you for support at the Christmas Fair it was lovely to see so many of you here support our stall. Primary 2's raised £215.11.

We had our last letter from Katie Morag as the post office on the Isle of Sturay is very busy with Christmas post.  She sent us the story of Katie Morag and the Wedding. We very much enjoyed watching the video of the story and sharing our favourite part.
On Monday afternoon we spent time outside playing games from the past. The children enjoyed playing hopscotch and trying group skipping.
We have been continuing our phonics on the magic e. This week we have been practising words for the u-e sound for example cube tube and flute.

Due to the bad weather we were unable to go to the church. However we were very lucky that the church could come to us. Mrs Leppard from St Leonard’s church came and explained the tradition of the Christingle and what each part represents. The children then all got a chance to make a Christingle to take home.  We then wrote thank you letters to Mrs Leppard.

We had a lovely time at the Christmas lunch, it was nice to enjoy the experience of eating together. Thanks goes to the kitchen staff for a delicious meal.

We have continued our learning on money, we have been looking at combination of coins to make different amounts.

We are all looking forward to the Primary Two christmas party on Monday 16.12.19. The children can bring their party clothes to get changed after their lunch or you they can go home at 12.35pm to have their lunch and get into their party clothes returning to school at 1.20pm.

Have a lovely weekend
