Good afternoon,
It has begun to feel quite festive in Primary 1 this week.
On Tuesday, the children were very excited to turn our class calendar page over, from November to December and even more excited to learn of what December will bring. We are looking forward to recording our Nativity, `Stable Story`, on the afternoon of  Friday 11th and to our Christmas Fun Day on Friday 18th December.  The children are invited to come to school wearing party/Christmas clothes for the whole of this Christmas Fun Day. However, the children will still be playing outdoors during break and lunchtimes and the classroom windows will still remain open for ventillation, so please ensure warm clothing and suitable footwear.

Throughout this week we have applied our Mathematical learning of repeated pattern to create beautiful paper chains which have been woven around the classroom as Christmas decorations. We have also learned the skill of paper twirling while creating beautiful tree decorations for our class Christmas tree and are looking forward to taking them home on the last day, to hang from our own Christmas trees.

The snowfall at the end of the week sparked our learning about the season of Winter and we used our senses to look for other signs of Winter around the school.

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs.Davie and P1.
