Children finished their discursive essays this week. Some fantastic vocabulary and connectives used! I was really delighted with their efforts.

We have been topping up our Spanish vocabulary and the children can now say a number of greetings, can introduce themselves and state how they are feeling.

Almost all the P7b girls were on a STEM day today. They came back very enthusiastic and looked as though they had a fantastic day. I am looking forward to hearing all about it on Monday!

Children continued working on their photography skills, using framing this week. Some brilliant photos. Have a look on our Seesaw to view them.

Seesaw letters have been sent out this week as we are moving away from the blog and each child will now have their own personal folder. It’s a fantastic way to view your child’s learning journey throughout the year. We need the permission slip back in order to post updates on your child’s page. If you’re happy to progress with this, please send the slip back by Friday 31st January.

The social target for next week is 'I can come to school well-presented and wearing school uniform.' A gentle reminder that P7 children should ensure P7 tie is worn each day. Overall, P7bs make a fantastic effort with school uniform and I am really proud of them for this, however we do have a few children forgetting their tie on a regular basis.

The children were very lucky today to have Mrs Mackenzie with us this morning. She took small groups to bake a wartime recipe. The children made delicious orange and honey cookies.

Have a great weekend, Mrs Forrest.
