It was lovely to see P7's after the holidays, enthusiastic to share their news. Lots of exciting stories!

P7's have worked hard this week, moving onto Subtraction in our Numeracy. We will be looking at a range of mental strategies to subtract larger numbers next week. The children have also been focusing on the 7 times table and have made super progress!

We looked at the political system in China and compared it to our own. Children then created a range of displays, focusing on communism and democracy. Some excellent discussion came from this.

With the use of crayon and paint, the class have created some beautiful art work this week influenced by Ming vases and Coy fish.

Finally, P7's carried out a persuasive writing task this week writing a letter to the Chinese government, asking them to ban dog and cat meat. The children were able to use a range of persuasive devices to create a very strong argument.

Have a fantastic weekend!
