Another lovely Christmassy week in P7!

In Social Studies, we have now made our Christmas cards and Christmas decorations. The children have chosen their own card and decoration design for their company, and I also chose a design, which the whole class made. The highlight was definitely making the sock snowpeople! They all turned out so cute and will hopefully be something the children can bring out each Christmas to add to your decorations.

In Writing, we used the 2018 McDonald’s Christmas advert as our focus. After watching the advert, the children used their persuasive techniques to write a persuasive campaign, encouraging people to leave food out for the reindeer on Christmas Eve.

In Numeracy, we have moved onto our money topic and have been using written strategies do some Christmas food shopping. The children have had to use the four operations to find me the best deals, using supermarket magazines.

We also had the treat of an online pantomime; Jack and the Beanstalk. The children were so enthusiastic and got involved in all the chanting and singing. It felt like we were actually at the theatre!

A reminder the P7 Christmas Party will be on Tuesday 15th December. Children can come in dressed for the party or can be collected at lunch time to get changed at home.

I hope you all have a great weekend, Mrs Forrest :)
