Good afternoon
This week has been a short week in class, but still a very busy one. In Numeracy we have been continuing to learn strategies for addition, and using these to work out missing numbers in sums. I am very impressed at how well the children are using these strategies.
In our project work we are starting to look at our local environment and to think about how it compares to the rainforest. This week we completed a survey of the types of trees in the school grounds, and then presented our data in graph form.
In Literacy we have been learning to skim read, and have also continued to learn how to write informative reports. The class really enjoyed writing about how to care for a pet (either their own or an imaginary one).
It was lovely to end the week seeing everyone dressed down, or in cheery yellow and Pudsey garments. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to such a worthwhile cause.
I hope you have a fun weekend.
