Good afternoon.
We have completed our work in Numeracy this week with a close look at Days of the Week, Months of the Year, the Seasons as well as digital time. We will move on to money next week.
The children really enjoyed making their anemometers and we had to use our problem solving skills to get the cups to fit on.
We are looking at the UN Rights of the Child and will create a class charter, using some of their rights as well as their responsibilities.
I am very impressed with their winter acrostic poem that they planned and wrote in their best handwriting to go on the balcony display board alongside their wonderful winter scenes through a window which we did in this week's Art session. I will send photos of these next week.
Our Science question this week was Can A Raw Egg Bounce? I am sure the children will enjoy telling you our results!
Winter is now almost officially with us and the children are really wanting snow... I'm not sure if the adults will all agree! We still have windows open for ventilation so please ensure all children have a warm jumper to wear in the classroom area.
Our P.E slots are now Wednesdays and Thursdays and the children will continue to wear their P.E kits on these days as well as bringing a pair of indoor gym shoes to wear in the hall.
It is looking like our Christmas party will be on Friday 18th December and the children will come to school in their party clothes. I am looking forward to a fun filled party with them.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Miss Shearer
