Eco-Committee - Eco-School

As an Eco-School, one of our topics this year is Sustainability and as such we will be reducing our use of single use plastics and recycling as much as possible.

Fife Council will be cutting out single-use plastic cutlery and straws from all buildings and activities from 7th October. Some single plastics may still be used where there is an exceptional need, such as a legal, medical or health and safety requirement need.

Our school kitchen will also be reducing single use plastics but if we do need to use single use cutlery, wooden or another non-plastic cutlery will be used.

We recommend that all pupils carry a reusable water bottle clearly named. Water dispensers are available to top up during the day.

We will keep you updated on the work of our Eco-Committee over the year and how we are all trying to reduce, reuse and recycle.
