We have had a little bit of a different week this week in Primary 4/5. However Miss Graham has been super impressed at the continued effort of all pupils and their positive attitude towards learning. We have enjoyed reading more in our class novel on Johnny Trott and Lizziebeth and this has proved to be a real cliff hanging novel!

We have also continued to focus on our times table recall as well as our ability to divide bigger numbers. Everyone is growing slowly in confidence using the chunking method and some children challenged themselves to using chunking for numbers with remainders. Lots of hard work and effort shown this week!

In literacy, we have been able to use our class novel to help us write a diary account. The children enjoyed looking back at the key events in the novel and then pretending to be the main character reacting in a diary form! This is something we have really improved on over the past few weeks.

Each child has been sent home with their learning pack. This has a learning grid of activities similar to the homework grid we have previously used. Inside the learning pack is a jotter to complete these tasks and stuck within the front cover you will find your child's individual password for GLOW and sumdog. Over the next while communication will be through Seesaw where you will be able to find activities linked to the grid and further updates and information.

Please continue to keep safe during this period of home learning and Miss Graham looks forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Many thanks,
Miss Graham
