P7 are entering a competition, following Roald Dahl Day. Young Writers have set a task of creating a short imaginary story. The children have started the planning stages of this and have come up with some fascinating ideas! We will continue the writing of this next week.
Jotters will be going home tomorrow so this will give you further opportunity to talk to your child about their learning journey throughout the curriculum so far. Could this could be done over the weekend and jotters returned on Monday please. Thank you.
For our project on China, we looked at the Terracotta Warriors this week. Children have been creating PowerPoints on this project, which include hyperlinks!
For Science, we have been focusing on separating materials. Previously we looked at separating through sieving and magnets. This week we will be separating materials through filtration. To do this, we need plastic bottles. Can I ask if you have any spare plastic bottles at home, can the children please bring them in for tomorrow? Thank you.
Finally, we will be entering another competition for Jeans for Genes Day. Children are being asked to design a new gadget for Batman! We will be completing this tomorrow and children will upload a photo of their entry onto Seesaw, so keep an eye out for this!
