We have worked hard to complete all outstanding tasks this week and we are ready for a wonderful Christmas break with our families. We are all very excited that Santa will be here soon.  It has been a wonderful term full of many highlights and lots of effort from everyone.
We kicked off our week with a very successful Christmas Party which was very well organised by Katy and Lizzie. Thank you girls!  We had lots of fun playing Christmas games in the hall. One of our favourites were HO, HO, HO. In class we pinned the nose onto Rudolph, had a colouring-in competition and a drawing competition about "The Littlest Tree". The biggest highlight was handing over our handmade Secret Santa gifts to classmates to bring some festive cheer and joy. Thank you to everyone for making these wonderful gifts. Thank you  to Casey T who sent in a picture of him holding the gift he received from his Secret Santa. We hope our parents enjoyed watching the Christmas message that we have sent. We had lots of fun creating this.
To accompany our Christmas Paper Plate Robins we wrote some Haikus about these beautiful little birds.  We then displayed these with our Robin artworks.
In Numeracy, we did a Christmas code breaker activity in pairs which everyone enjoyed.  There were lots of multiplying and dividing of numbers to find the two hidden messages.
We looked at the difference between "Wants" and "Needs" and had a super discussion about racism and discrimination. Thank you to Harry who led us in our discussion. Lots of mature, insightful comments were made by all the children and we all enjoyed the time we spent together doing this activity.
All children are invited to dress down and/or include Christmas jumpers for the last two days of the term.

Have a relaxing weekend!
