Welcome to this week's update from Primary 5. It may have been a short week but it has been an exciting and busy week.
We were all really eager to hear what job we had in our Enterprise Company. Finally, on Wednesday, the suspense was over and we received a formal letter informing us of our roles in Eco Elves. It was very exciting opening our letters.
In Literacy we have been continuing to learn about persuasive language techniques, this time in advertising. We have started to design posters to promote The Eco Elves and we are using techniques like alliteration, rhetorical questions, exaggeration and rhyme.
In Numeracy, we are learning different strategies for addition. We have been learning the partitioning strategy and the number line jumps strategy, and we are getting quite confident in using both.
On Monday, we created our magnetic games to demonstrate what we have been learning about the force of magnetism. It was quite challenging, however, we all completed our designs. On Tuesday, we filmed ourselves presenting our games, and we have added them to our Seesaw blog for you to see.
Children in Need day has been lots of fun. Our class enjoyed taking part in The Big Move to burn up all the 'energy' we got from munching on Pudsey and Spotty cookies. Thank you to Primary 2 for organising the event and we hope they raise lots of money for a very good cause.

Have a lovely long weekend.
