Welcome to Term 2!

Primary 4/5 have come back after the short break showing great enthusiasm and eagerness to get stuck back into their learning.

This term our timetable will remain the same as Term 1 with gym taking place on a Monday and Thursday. As the weather begins to change it is important that your child comes to school on these days with suitable clothing and a jacket/coat. It might also be helpful to have a spare pair of socks and shoes in your bag also!

This week we have enjoyed learning about endangered animals as we continue our rainforest topic. We will be focusing on conservation and sustainability this term and look forward to learning more about how we can look after our planet! In numeracy, we have been working on our number bonds within 100 and using the strategy of partitioning to help us add bigger numbers. Why not try out Top Marks Daily 10 challenge to apply these skills!

Today we enjoyed a special Halloween themed day and this allowed us to create Halloween themed comics using onomatopoeia! Our writing this week also took a spooky focus with everyone creating an imaginative piece based in a spooky graveyard!

We also welcomed James to our class and we look forward to having Ms Stewart join in and help us in our learning starting on Monday.

Have a fang-tastic weekend,
Miss Graham
