Good afternoon everybody,

I am absolutely delighted to welcome Primary 3/ 4 back to school for a brand-new year!  It was wonderful to be greeted on Wednesday by such happy, smiley and enthusiastic children who looked, if I must say, very smart and grown up in their school uniforms.  I feel also that they are somewhat taller than I remember them to be when I met them for our meet the teacher session back in June! Either that or I am shrinking?

The children have settled back into class and school life quickly and it has also been lovely reconnecting with each other this week as we all shared stories of our Summer holidays, engaged in play and carried out lots of getting to know each other better activities.

This term we have P.E on a Tuesday and a Friday. The children should come to school dressed in appropriate PE kit on these days.

We will also start our 'Fun Field Friday’s’ where we will be embracing learning and playing outdoors. This means that all children will need to also bring with them a warm jumper, waterproof jacket/trousers (if they have them) and a change of shoes e.g., wellies/old trainers or similar, every Friday too

Seesaw will continue to be the main platform for sharing your children's learning with you and to post homework when it starts. I hope that you enjoyed looking through and engaging in discussion with your child using the lovely photos taken on their first day back at school. It would be helpful if you could check that you are still able to access your child's Seesaw account – and let me know if you require new access codes.

I just know that this year is going to be the best year ever and I am looking forward to all the great learning opportunities that we will explore together.

Thank you for your continued help and support. Have a wonderful weekend.
