Welcome to Primary 2. I hope you had a great October holiday.
Last term was full of hard work and interesting activities. As you know, we were learning about: Electrical circuits, “The Lighthouse Keeper” stories, number order, addition and subtraction strategies, how to identify nouns, adjectives and verbs, Spanish vocabulary and much more!
This term, we are very motivated and engaged with our “Minibeast” topic; which will encompass every subject across the curriculum. We are very excited about how this topic will help us to learn every day.
In Literacy last term we focused on our handwriting using capital letters and full stops properly. Additionally, this term we are learning about alliteration, onomatopoeia, poems and how to differentiate a fact from an opinion.
Last term in Numeracy, we made progress with number position values, addition and subtraction. During this term we will learn about 2D shapes and money.
Last term our Health and Well Being, Art and RME focus was feelings and this term the focus will be about the story of Christmas.
We feel very proud of how much we have learned together and we are very motivated to continue this term too. Thank you very much for your continued support.
