Good Morning,
As you will be aware we are now moving forward with all recovery planning at quite a pace and I feel it important to share with you the following information:

Fife Council carried out all building inspection tasks last week on our school which has allowed for the initial risk assessment process to be carried out. Following the required cleaning, staff will begin to access the building to prepare for August over the next few weeks.

Classes and transition for next sessionall classes and staffing for our new school session will be shared with you once confirmed. I am hopeful this will be at some point later this week. All class teachers will reach out and engage with their new class to offer some form of transition.

Transition P1 and P7- all P1 transition information at Canmore has been shared on an on-going basis. As per national expectations our P1 pupils for next session will be invited to a transtion experience and we have planned for a teddy bear's picnic carried out in various sessions. We are looking forward to welcoming our new pupils and families.
P7 transition will take place in the appropriate secondary settings with final details to be confirmed with you. I thank you for your continued patience around this and hope to share final details with you over the next day or so.

Parental consultation- you should have received further communication from Carrie Lindsay, Executive Director Education and Children's Services, sharing further updates at a local authority level.Included within this communication is a link to a Parentwise survey and I thank you in advance for actioning this. Your opinions matter!
I look forward to meeting with our Parent Council on Tuesday evening 9th June at 6.30pm- should you wish to join this meeting please email me directly.
Pupil voice continues to be an essential part of all planning and a survey will be shared for all pupils to complete. For our younger pupils this will require additional input from parents which may lead to some valuable discussion.

I am aware that for many reasons you will be eager to know how school will look come August. At this stage much parallel planning continues to allow for the continued fluidity of our current situation. I will endeavour to update you and consult with you accordingly.

In order to update all pupils, a short video message will be shared. All key information will continue to be delivered in this way moving forward.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

Best wishes,

Laura Howie
