A very happy new year from Primary 4/5! After a busy Christmas term and a relaxing holiday, it is lovely to see everyone back looking smart and ready to take on a new year.
We will begin this term with a Scottish theme looking at Scottish myths and legends and we look forward to our Burn’s celebrations at the end of the month. As part of this theme we will be exploring Scottish poetry and performing Scot’s poems as part of the annual poetry competition.
We will also begin this term focusing on Time within numeracy. As we explore a range of areas within time, I would strongly encourage you to expand this learning outside the classroom. Please make use of all the natural links at home with reading the time, reading timetables/calendars etc. to help our learners apply and extend their growing understanding.
It is important to note that gym lessons will be on a Tuesday and Thursday this term and P5’s should remember to bring their guitars on a Tuesday for music practice. We look forward to all that is in store this year and we are excited to update you along the way!
