This week has just flown by!  Can you believe that our first week of learning back in class is already at an end?

It was really nice to see so many happy faces in class when they all got together on Monday. The class have had a lot of catching up on news and friendships over this week and our focus this week was very much on giving the children time to do just that. There were more than a few in the class that just never seemed to stop talking to each other for ages and ages on Monday! The week continued in that same vein and the class have really bonded once more.

It has been a gentle ease back into learning and within numeracy we have started to look at fractions. In health and wellbeing, we spent some time reflecting on how we were feeling during home learning and how we are feeling now on our return to school. I was really pleased to discover that there were very few worries and, on the whole, everyone was super keen and happy to be back (even though there were a few tired children by the time the afternoon finished). We have, or should I now say ‘had’, a large empty wall ready for information on our Space topic. The wall is now resplendent with paintings and drawings of all things space. Planets, aliens, galaxies, rockets and space shuttles now adorn our wall as the children enjoyed some creative time in Art.

Due to a recent unexpected update to our iPad software, the children are now able to create videos using green screen technology. Yesterday, we started planning how to use this to present our knowledge on Space. Hopefully, we will soon have some news reports coming your way from the darkest depth of the universe.

I hope that you all have a super, relaxing and safe weekend.

Take care,

Mr. Morgan.
