A massive thank you to all families who have connected to the SEESAW learning journals  It really helps boost communication between home and the classroom and your child will be able to share a wee snapshot of their day to day experience with you directly.

As you may know Reconnectors now run on Monday and Friday mornings. Pupils begin and end their week together with our Head Teacher setting purpose and direction. We have a clear vision to achieve our school values respect, resilience and responsibility and the children are showing lots of enthusiasm and focus to support these. Please ensure lunch choices are made on Ipayment (contact the office if you need help with this.)

In our writing this week we have looked back at our first piece of P6/7 writing using the stimulus of a mysterious door.  Your child has been taught how to use 'ly' words at the beginning of their sentences to grasp the reader's attention. Lots of progress and interesting work created in their jotters.

Number work has been a challenge. We have revised multiplying whole numbers by 10,100 and some cases 1000. We then looked at multiplying decimals.  Pupils have a good understanding of rounding and completed lots of games to reinforce their learning.

In topic pupils have created sways on Japan - please ask your child to login to GLOW and share theirs with you.

In STEAM we have developed our origami skills creating paper aeroplanes and linking the science of flight. The materials are available in the steam folder on SEESAW if you wish to follow this up at home.

A reminder that our class novel is available on SEESAW and we invite you to read along with us to the end of Chapter 2.

Congratulations to all our pupils who interviewed for Junior Leadership Positions.  I am so proud of you all and the whole school are delighted for those appointed. Well done to everyone who interviewed Mrs McIntosh shared that all who applied would be given PPS (Playground Supervisor Roles) Pupils were delighted!

Well done to Teagan McMurray our social target winner this week and Abbie Clark receiving our Head Teacher Award.

Enjoy the weekend
Mrs Watt & P67.
