Good afternoon, Primary 3 and 4 have had another busy week.
We have been using a growth mindset, growing our brain, making new and extra connections in our mental maths this week. We have been starting the maths session with aN addition level one game on Topmarks called 'Daily 10' this is one of the homework tasks that we encourage all pupils to complete. This will continue to help their number bonds to 20 and 100 become stronger in their minds. It has been great to see some of the P3 pupils challenge themselves to even try the number bonds to 100. Keep going everyone our brains will just get stronger and stronger as we secure our number bonds!

In outdoor learning this week we were exploring hibernation. We learnt about different animals that hibernate in the UK and the reason why they do it each year. We focused on the hedgehog and went for a look around our school grounds to see where a hedgehog might be hiding. We took our writing planners with us so we could draw, sketch, write notes and collect ideas for our writing. This was a fabulous time as we then brought our creative ideas into our creative stories. We looked at a story planner and a story mountain and used this to write our own hedgehog tales. Look on Seesaw for some excellent work.

In gym we have also been practising dancing and loved performing a Scottish Country Dance to our P4 friends in gym. We have been working on rhythm and timing and learning the importance of both in our dancing. We have really enjoyed ourselves during this session and DJ Raphi keeps us on our toes as we warm up for each session.

Please continue to check Seesaw for our daily updates and pictures, videos, messages. We are super proud of all the learning in our class and we look forward to sharing even more.
