What a busy week in Primary 4/5.
With charity events being held on the Thursday and Friday of this week, we have had to work very hard to get everything packed in! What a jam packed week we have enjoyed with lots of fun and wider achievement activities supporting both Race for Life and Macmillan. I would like to express my thanks on behalf of the school for all of your donations this week! The children enjoyed lots of extra activities organised by the Primary 6 pupils and had great fun while raising funds for superb charities.

In Writing, we continued our imaginative work. Adding adjectives to our descriptions as a mystery package arrived at the zoo. It was amazing to see the creativity displayed and our class are getting much better at identifying different sections of their sentences through Colourful Semantics. Our focus in Grammar this week was adding the WHERE to extend our sentences further.

In Numeracy, we have been finishing our place value time, reinforcing our doubles/near doubles with some games and revisiting how to work out what numbers go on an empty numberline. Lots of hard work and problem solving was on display during our Numeracy task time.

A highlight of the week was definitely finishing off our Project boxes and getting the chance to add in the forest floor, understory, canopy and emergent layer to our 3D model. We have really enjoyed learning about the different animals, plants and layers of the rainforest.

Once again I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
Miss Graham
