Primary 4/5 have enjoyed another fabulous week in school. We are definitely in routine now and on Monday we started the week with learning strategies to help us when we get stuck and in the pit. Miss Graham introduced them to C3B4ME (ask me what this means). And we have really been working hard at listening and following instructions. Becoming more independent in class.

As we introduced our new topic last week of the 'rainforest' with a special visitor to our class. This week we dived right into exploring life in the rainforest more. We can now identify rainforests on a map and can tell facts about why they are located there. We have also started to create our rainforest boxes and the children are very excited about these creative creations. We have completed the front cover this week and look forward to working on these further.

In numeracy. We have worked hard at partitioning numbers this week. The class were a little stuck on Monday with this but it was great to see them use strategies to become more and more confident in this area.

A personal highlight of the week was learning some rainforest animals in sign language with Monica on Tuesday. Ask me to show you this when I get home. We also enjoyed learning about the tradition of Rakhi bracelets and making our own in RME.

Have a great weekend.

Miss Graham
