This week Primary 4/5 have discovered and researched facts on the crew and captain on The Titanic. We have linked the different classes to the rights they have and have also looked further at our right to play and what that means at Canmore.
The children have really enjoyed reading the chapters in Kasper Prince of Cats this week and it has sparked ideas for our big writing sessions. Miss Graham was super impressed with the concentration and detail of the newspaper accounts on our novel. Please check out the outstanding writing on Seesaw for yourself!
This week we have focused on factors, multiples and remainders in numeracy. This is also our last week looking at our six times tables and we will be moving on to our 7s next week! This is not to say that we are all super confident in this area therefore Miss Graham is still encouraging consolidation of our multiplication at home. It is also essential that the children keep up to date with their homework numeracy task to ensure they continue to progress in class activities linked to this.
Once again this has been a busy week and we look forward to exploring our topic further and moving onto division next week.
