This week Primary 4/5 have focused on being independent and taking more responsibility for their work. As the week went on it was super to see the children take more ownership of what to do when they were stuck and what to do if they were finished tasks. This is the responsibility that Miss Graham loves to see and it will continue to be a focus as we progress throughout this term!

In literacy, we have started to look at our sentence structure and have enjoyed learning about the bubblegum, mint and strawberry ice cream progression in sentence structure. The boys and girls will focus on each level as the term progresses practicing up leveling their sentences so that their writing can sparkle for Miss Graham!

In numeracy, we have continued to look at Time. The focus has been on minutes past and to for some pupils. Other children enjoyed the challenge of time conversion-minutes, hours and seconds.

Next week we look forward to hearing the children perform their Scot's poetry. Please continue to support your child in this part of their homework over the upcoming days. A big thank you for helping them with the pronouncing old Scots! This is something Miss Graham even needs a lot of practice with!

Have a super weekend,
Miss Graham
