Primary 4/5 enjoyed a yummy festive Christmas lunch on Wednesday followed by a very enjoyable Christmas Party shared with Primary 4. We danced, laughed, passed the parcel and we have well and truly prepared our dance moves for Christmas.

We have also enjoyed finishing off our leaflet on 'Christmas around the world this week.' Our research and note taking skills have been improving through this activity and we look forward to exploring specific Christmas beliefs and traditions from around the world next week.

In numeracy, we have completed all of our strategies on subtraction and have enjoyed completing a money task linked to Christmas shopping! We will now be able to assist you with all your last minute Christmas shopping over this festive period. We have also got really good at 'Hit the Button' with a class best this week in mental maths.

In digital literacy, the class has also discovered a new app Quiver, this allows the children to create their own 3D artwork. We enjoyed discussing and designing a new festive Christmas cup for Starbucks and Miss Graham thinks Starbucks would be very impressed with our designs!

We have also come to the end of our class novel 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.' by C.S. Lewis.  As part of our learning we plan to watch the film version and complete am activity around this. This is a PG movie, if you wish that your child does not participate in the viewing of the film, please contact the office by Monday afternoon.

We look forward to all the festive fun learning and activities next week,

Miss Graham
