This week started off with some HAPPY NEWS in Primary 6b! We entered a competition last week called the Air Race Challenge linked to our work in STEAM and we received exciting news on Monday. We have been selected as one of the winning schools! A huge congratulations again to Jack Rodger who designed our class entry and we look forward to receiving the quadcopter soon so we can explore further and build upon our STEAM understanding.

In HWB this week we have been thinking about being a kind friend online. It is so important to think about what you are posting and the impact of that post. We also discussed what to do when someone is unkind online to us. Lots of helpful discussions held - please ask me about this at home.

This week we have been really challenging ourselves in our place value work. Most pupils have been learning to read, write and partition any number up to three decimal points. I have been really impressed with the focus and concentration during these lessons - keep this up Primary 6b!

In project this week we were looking at the timeline/history of Edinburgh. We also focused on identifying landmarks on a map. We are growing in our understanding of mapwork and can't wait to apply these skills as we create our own interactive map! It is also fantastic to see all the homework/research linked to this posted on Seesaw.

This week we also welcomed lots of you to our classroom, what a joy to show off our learning environment and to meet so many of you. I look forward to continuing to partner with you as we encourage Primary 6b to be the best we can be!

Have a great weekend,
Miss Graham
