This week each pupil had the opportunity to share with our class their performance of their Scot's poem. A big well done to everyone who had a go, some of the poems were long and tricky and Miss Graham was impressed with the effort and enthusiasm shown.

We have also continued to focus on the four times table this week and we are becoming more confident with am/pm times. The children have moved on to 24 hour clock and it would be brillant if you could ask them about the 24 hour time at home as you go about the day. For example dinner will be ready at 5.30pm this evening, do you know what time that is in 24 hour clock.

The children have also enjoyed creating their own 'Tanka' poem based on a season or Scottish landscape. The pupils worked together in pairs to find out what a good one looked like and used this understanding to create five line poems. Check out our class blog for some outstanding pieces of work.

In your child's bag this week you will have received a letter outlining details on accessing the Seesaw app. Each pupil has their own personalised  journal which you can access following the invitation and QR code on the sheet. Please read and complete the permission form related to this so that we can share your child's learning on this online platform.

Our social target next week will be relating to school uniform and it is important that each child wears their tie for the performance on Tuesday. If you would like to borrow a tie for the music festival this can be arranged through the office. We look forward to attending the music festival early next week.

Have a brillant weekend,
Miss Graham
