What a fabulous start to the week as Primary 6A and Primary 6B went to the music festival on Tuesday morning. I was super proud of our pupils from the word go, all pupils were respectful and responsible on the bus, walking into the conference centre and watching the other school's performances. It was a delight to take them and what a performance they showcased! If you missed it, please check our short rehearsal footage on Seesaw.

Mrs Baxter has been working hard with both classes to ensure that they were pitch perfect and their singing and smiles stole the show. From acting, singing, speaking, playing instruments, we showcased our talent and skills to an audience. There was a real buzz and many pupils remarked to myself and Mrs Howie how much they enjoyed being on stage, we might have some budding performers in our midst.

This week, we have a new homework grid on Seesaw. This homework information grid provides details on the spelling, reading and numeracy activities scheduled to complete. You will also note that as part of our listening and talking assessments, each child will create a personal 3-5minute talk on John Muir. I have given six weeks to complete this task as it includes research, creating a presentation and creating cue cards or a small talk to go with their presentation. In class we will be focusing on listening and talking and this will support this homework task. Please read the Seesaw post for further information.

As we are now in February, please note that our outdoor learning sessions have resumed. We will have the opportunity to take part in Thursday afternoon sessions however with some timetable changes this might be occasionaly moved to a Friday. Please keep an eye on Seesaw for updates regarding this.

I hope you have a great weekend,
Miss Graham
