Week 4

Another week has flown by in P5/6!

In our Context for Learning, we have continued looking at the 'Rock Cycle'. This week we have looked at volcanoes and how dramatic they can be when erupting.

In Literacy, our handwriting continues nicely and our listening comprehension is definitely improving too. Reading the questions carefully has helped us focus on listening for key information. We have also been working on use of adjectives to give lots of details to characters in our imaginative writing.

In RME on Thursday, we looked at meditation and how some Buddhists use it to help them have clearer mind. The class even had a go at this!

I think that the highlight of the week has to have been our digital literacy time where we looked at how to take and edit digital images. Our focus this week was ‘Fill-the-Frame’ where the children had to compose and edit close-up images. I’ve added a few to share with you.

Thank you to those parents who sent their child to school on Tuesday and Wednesday with extra socks and shoes for their PE days. For some, the socks came in very handy!

I hope that you all have a very safe, relaxing and restful weekend.

Mr. Morgan.
