On Friday our assembly was all about being safe on the internet.  As part of Safer Internet Day 2019, we have spoken to the children about specifically social media and the rules and regulations around these, in particular age.  We explained that many social media sites have minimum legal age limits as some of the content may not be appropriate for children to view.  Many of our children are using these sites and unfortunately, not always in a positive manner.  As parents, you know how responsible and mature your child is but we want children to realise that with this privilege of the internet comes responsibility too.  We spoke about the impact some misuse of social media sites can have on individuals and ask that they 'Think before sending'.
