Good afternoon,

A highlight from this week was Tommy Traveller (our new Teddy visitor) asking us to tell him all about Scotland. We discussed different food, traditional clothing, weather/climate and important places of interest in Scotland. We also had a taste of some shortbread and oatcakes. We made posters about Scotland so Tommy could tell his friends from around the world all about Scotland.

In Literacy we continued our novel called 'Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. This week we have been learning to predict. Flat Stanley was helping to protect the museum from thieves by dressing up as a girl in a painting. Stanley was hiding in the painting and the museum was all dark when he heard a creak. We predicted what happened next and use the connective 'because' to help explain our answer.

In Phonics, we have been learning to read and write the 'ar’ sound. On Seesaw you will find a homework activity for the ‘ar' sound. Please complete the 'ar’ page this week in your phonics homework booklet. Reading books went home on Wednesday, please return on Monday.

In Numeracy, we continued our learning on addition. we have been learning all the addition facts for 13,14 and 15.  We have been using materials such as cubes and numicon to help us.

Have a great long weekend!
