The children have very much enjoyed exploring with the cubes and sand this week in Discovery learning. We have had lots of different models.
This week in Numeracy, we have been continuing our work learning subtraction. We have been learning to subtract a a single digit from a teens number. For example 18-2, 15-3.
In Literacy this week, we very much enjoyed writing our weekend news about our long weekend. We have been learning to extend our story into a series of sentences using adjectives and connectives. In phonics we have continued to learn the 'oi' sound and found out that the 'oy' sound can be spelt in two ways. We were reading sentences with missing 'oi/oy' words and had to pick the correct spelling.
Our highlight this week was learning about the different farm machines that help the farmer to look after the animals and grow the crops. We have to match the correct machine to the correct description.
