Good Afternoon,

This week for Literacy we have been learning the phonic sound 'ea' and have been learning to read and spell words with the 'ea' words.

In Numeracy, we have been developing our adding skills. We have been finding all the addition facts for 11 and 12. We have been developing our skills in finding the missing number in a sum, for example __ + 4 = 12 or 8 +___ = 11. As a challenge we have been finding what 3 numbers added together make 11 or 12. We will continue to develop our skills next week.

We read the next chapter of our novel ' The owl who is afraid of the dark' by Jill Tomlinson then we learned about the lifecycle of an owl.

For Health and Welbeing, we are continuing our Bounce Back programme and have started our new unit called 'Emotions'. This week we looked at naming different emotions and discussed how we can feel different emotions at the same time. We listened to the story Smile-A-Saurus and then created our own feelings dinosaur with a chosen emotion for example, sad-a-saurus, excited-a-saurus, scard-a-saurus.

We are all looking forward to P4 to P7 returning next week. Our gym days will continue to be Tuesday and Thursdays. Thank you to everyone who returned the reading books today. The next reading book will be sent out on Monday to be returned on Friday.  A lot of children did not make lunch choices this week. Please can you make sure that lunch choices are completed at home.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy Mother's Day
