Good Afternoon,
What a busy and enjoyable week!
It's been lovely to see all the children happily back into routine and enjoying their learning.
For Literacy this week we have been consolidating our knowledge of our magic 'e' phonic sounds (o-e,a-e,i-e,u-e) and have been learning the 'ee' sound. The children have been making the sounds with letter cubes and reading and writing words with the sounds.

The children very much enjoyed our "World Book Day', we shared our favourite books from Seesaw. We then drew our favourite book characters and wrote adjectives to describe our character. On Friday we very much enjoyed dressing up as a book character and listening to the author Coo Clayton read her book 'Maggie's Island'.

In Numeracy we have been consolidating our adding skills and have been developing our skills in adding mentally.

I hope you all enjoyed having a reading book at home.Thank you to everyone who returned their book today.  I will send out a new book on Tuesday.  Please can you ensure that the reading book is returned to school by Friday for quarantining. I am planning Outdoor learning next Friday afternoon so please send your child in warm clothes and ensure they have a waterproof jacket, wellies and waterproof trousers, if you have them,
Well done to Glenn Brodie who was last week's Social Target Achiever and to Brooke Brown who was this week's Scocial Target Achiever. It has been a very hard choice as all the children have settled back into the school routine and have been trying their best with all the learning activities.
Have a lovely Weekend,
Mrs Elvin
