What a great week of learning and Christmas activities!
It's hard to believe it's the last Friday of Term Two. Primary two have very much enjoyed learning about the past in their Gran and Grandad topic. Thank you to all the Grandparents who were interviewed for the homework. The children really learned a lot about the past from you sharing your life experiences.
This week we learned about how Christians celebrate Christmas and listened to the nativity story. We then sequenced the story and drew our favourite part. We made Christmas cards and used our best handwriting to write a christmas message inside our card.
In Maths, we have been continuing to work on teaching Tinsel the elf to tell the time. This week we were teaching Tinsel how to read digital times on a 12-hour digital clock. We are pleased to report back to Santa that Tinsel can read o'clock and half past times on a analogue and 12-hour digital clock.
On Wednesday after enjoying our Christmas lunch, we were all very excited to watch the online Pantomime,`Jack and The Beanstalk'. We all enjoyed the Pantomime especially joining in with the characters, lots of boos and cheers!
We all had a great `Christmas Fun Day`, our day started with completing christmas crafts and fun activites while listening to Christmas music. In the afternoon, we played party games followed by snacks and a drink.
Our Social Target Achiever was again a very difficult choice, Well done to Anna Fenwick.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, have a great time celebrating with your family and I look forward to seeing everyone in the new year.
