Good Afternoon,

It has been lovely to be back at school and we have had a busy week.

This week we had a very exciting letter arrive from Katie Morag asking for our help. She would like us to help her learn all about what life was like when our grandparents and great grandparents were young. Katie Morag is going to send us a letter each week with a diffferent task. This week Katie Morag asked us to help her to unscamble her family tree and to find out all about family trees. We are looking forward to our next letter.

In literacy we listened to the story 'Katie Morag and the Halloween Pirate' and gave our opinion about our favourite part of the story. We wrote our own spooky story from a picture of a halloween house. We tried hard to add desribing words to make our stories interesting. A picture of your child's story has been uploaded on to Seesaw.

In Numeracy we have been learning to count groups of objects and say how many tens and how many ones. For example 18 has 1 ten and 8 ones.

Today in your child's school bag I have sent home a homework pack for you to quarantine over the weekend so we can start our homework on Tuesday. I will upload the new homework grid for this term onto Seesaw  on Tuesday 3rd November. Please do not complete any phonic homework until we have done the sound in class. I will upload the sound each week onto Seesaw, Thank you for your continued support.

I wish you all a happy Halloween and a lovely weekend,
Mrs Elvin
