Good Afternoon,

This week we were learning about where electricity comes from. We learned that electricity can be produced by solar panels, hydro electric plants, wind turbines and power stations. The highlight this week was making a model of a wind turbine.

In Numeracy, we have been learning about symmetrical patterns. We completed different symmetrical patterns made by cubes, pegs and shapes. We continued to develop the skill of placing the mirror on the line of symmetry and looking carefully at the pattern.

The children have been taking part in news writing and we have been focusing on the skills of finger spaces, capital letters, full stops, using our sounds to help us spell and forming our letters correctly. Have a look on Seesaw to see your child's work.

Our Reconnector today highlighted 'World Cleanup Day' on Saturday 19th September around the world so we are being mindful of how much litter we produce and how we should keep our environment clean and tidy.

This week’s social target was ' I can be responsible in my choices, actions and words’. Well done to Oliver Wnuk who is our Social Target winner.

Have a lovely weekend!
