Good Afternoon,

This week we read the 'Lighthouse Keeper’s Tea' by Ronda and David Armitage. We continued learning to identify the correct missing word in a sentence. This week we had to look carefully as the words we were choosing from as they all started with the same letter.

In Science, we were learning about what different objects are made from. We had a hunt round the classroom to find objects in our class made from wood, plastic, glass and metal. We learned that wood comes from trees, glass is made from fine sand and metal is made from rocks.

In Numeracy, we have been learning about symmetry. We have been learning to identify symmetrical and non-symmetrical objects. We have been using mirrors to identify symmetrical objects and then draw lines of symmetry. We then made our own symmetrical butterfly.

This week’s social target was ‘I can show kindness to others’. Well done to Sophie Soulieux Stott who is our social target winner.

Have a lovely weekend!
