What a frosty icy week that was! Inspired by the freezing cold temperatures we had a free writing time with a twist this week. Ask me about this at home! Miss Graham is super proud of everyone's efforts in writing throughout the term. In our first week back our author visit inspired many buddy writers. There was definitely a writing bug going round as fuelled by creativity lots of the Primary 6 pupils have been free writing throughout the term, creating their own books, making mini novels for their friends to read and also illustrating each others work. I love to see this enthusiasm for writing! One budding author, Blair in our class even decided to sell his novel at the Christmas fayre and raise money for two charities. On behalf of Blair and Primary 6 we would like to thank you for your support at the fayre. Lots of money was raised for our school community and Blair was able to donate £52.50 to Cancer research and £52.50 to Alzheimer Scotland. What a lovely gift to give this Christmas.

This week, a highlight was our Christmas dinner altogether in the hall, as always this is one of Miss Graham's favourite times as staff and pupils join together with the jolly festive music accompanying. Another highlight of the week was watching our budding actors in the Nativity. What a treat for our school community. We loved it and thank the Primary 1 and Mrs Davie for all their hard work and efforts on the led up to this performance.

Next week, we will enjoy a shorter week and our class party will be on Monday afternoon. We look forward to seeing everyone's dancing moves there! Please remember you are free to wear your Christmas jumpers throughout this festive week!

Looking forward to all the festive fun on the count down to Christmas.

Have a jolly weekend,
Miss Graham
