Another quick and exciting week in Primary 6!
This week we finished off our topic on Edinburgh with a trip out on Tuesday - What a blast! The pupils were a credit to our school the whole day and were fully engaged and excited with all of the activities we had planned for the day.

We started the journey walking to Dunfermline Town station and then travelled on train with Scot Rail to Edinburgh Waverley. The children were very excited to see some of the key landmarks we researched and discussed in class. It was also great to have the real life experience of applying our knowledge of timetables, calculating time intervals and reading train schedules.

When we arrived in Edinburgh, each group was set the task of a scavenger hunt looking for key landmarks along the Royal Mile. Each landmark was one we had looked at in class and key interest was given to the closes and unicorns that children had to spot along the Royal Mile. Each group was able to locate Mary King's Close, Grey Friar's Bobby and the witches well, key points of our learning over the past term and a bit.

We had a lunch break at the National Museum of Scotland before exploring the science and technology floor as well as locating the Eduardo Paolozzi sculptures there.
What a jam packed, exciting day for all. Lots of walking, some pupils said that they walked 18,000 steps according to their Fitbit or 7/8miles! WOW what super efforts by all!

Thank you to all of the parent helpers who attended our trip, the day went very smoothly because of your support and efforts.

Please check Seesaw for any pictures/clips of the day!
