Our final full week together has been packed full with fun experiences. Monday began with a piece of history as we recorded the school show then stopped to watch the Scotland game.  Pupils united to support our home nation and despite the loss pupils spirits remained high as the game was played fair.

We wrapped the show on Tuesday and I have put it together using a piece of software called animoto and I look forward to Mrs Howie sharing it with the school and parents next Wednesday.

Our focus on Thursday was the buddy party and of course tonight the P7 leavers party.

Our P7 pupils in Bothwell House have continued their Dunfermline High S1 transition joining MSTeams meets with guidance teachers and Canmore and Henryson House pupil MSteam meets are to be completed next Tuesday morning.

A wonderful end to a fantastic year!

A few more highlights to come....!

Next week we will have 4 days together including an amazing INFLATABLE fun session end of term treat! First thing Monday Morning! followed by a Junior Sports Leader event  so please wear gym kit all day on Monday and fingers crossed for sunshine!

On Tuesday school uniform is required as we film formal yearbook and high school tie presentations and final parts of the leavers assembly to be shared virtually with the whole school and parents Thursday.

Tuesday the pupils in Canmore House at DHS meet their Guidance teachers in a MSTeams meet at 915 and Henryson House the same at 1115.

Tuesday afternoon we had hoped to take P7 to the cinema however due to Covid restrictions we will be bringing the movie to the school to watch instead. Cruella is a 12A so should you wish your child to opt OUT please let me know. Pupils are welcomed to bring their own sweets/snacks/drinks/slippers.

On Wednesday P7 Pupils are invited to bring a clean White shirt to be left in the school hall all day for signing. We have arranged a timetable to let all teachers and classes sign these shirts.
1.Please bring in a shirt to sign.
2. Ensure your name is on your shirt clearly to help it NOT get lost amongst the 56 other shirts in the hall.

Our P6s have been busy helping with preparations and were delighted to meet their new teachers.  Myself and Mr Morgan are in the P67 & 7 classes and pupils were excited to hear about their first topic in Term 1 which will be a comparative study on Japan.  They are already looking forward to learning some Japanese language and of course Karate!

Fingers crossed the good weather lasts the weekend and we all get the chance to relax in the sun!
Enjoy the weekend
