We have made it to the end of the term!  It is fantastic to be back together as a school community. The children have been truly wonderful over the past two weeks.  They have settled back into a routine very well and the buzz in the classroom has been great! We have also welcomed a pupil into our class. Welcome Lily!
In health and well-being we used our security and belonging trees for inspiration.  We wrote superb "! am" poems. Some very thoughtful writing were included in these poems. Our trees have turned out  absolutely wonderful and it has been lovely to see all the positive comments made by everyone about themselves and others. Also great for the children to see all their strengths, hopes, dreams, roots, talents and gifts as a visual representation. This has shown them how special and unique they all are.
We personalised our space shuttles and added in some extra details and they look really fantastic hanging in the class or flying up the wall.
We worked along with Scott Morrow on finding equivalences for fractions and everyone enjoyed working together on the carpet on their whiteboards. Lots of great discussions about fractions were also taking place.
In PE we really had fun playing a new game called Peg Tig and just seeing the happy smiles on everyone's faces has been fabulous.
We have made a beautiful pop-up robin, chick or bunny Easter card. .
We continue to read from our class novel Cloud Busting by Marjorie Blackman  and have had good discussions about name calling and how that can affect someone.
We now all look forward to a well-deserved, peaceful Easter holidays. We wish all of you the most wonderful time with your families. Stay safe and take care!
