What an absolutely fantastic Term 1 Primary 6!
I am hugely proud of the effort everyone has put into this term. Together we have faced a lot of uncertainty and challenges but we have overcome all of these and moved forward. There has been lots of hard work, working as a team, fun and laughter and supporting one another during this time. It has been a pleasure to be in class with you and watch your confidence grow.
Your Personal Projects on "Oceans of the World" has been truly amazing. Everyone has enjoyed this project and your parents have been hugely appreciative of the efforts you have given to this self-study project. The projects are all so individual and special and a wonderful item to keep forever. So much new information gained during this time and we are all so aware of how wonderful our planet is and that we all need to play our part in protecting it.
Amazing artwork has been produced this term and art has helped everyone with their mental well-being. We have zentangled, used watercolours, mixed media, paper tearing collages and enjoyed experimenting with colour and pattern.
In Maths we now have a much better understanding of place value concepts. We also had huge fun joining in with a nationwide webinar on 3D Orgami folding and produced wonderful Jackson Cube stacks.
We have written great stories, reports and poems and have worked hard on improving the quality of our writing by adding in more descriptive language and the use of adverbs.
We especially want to say thank you to Miss Williams for her assistance in class on Wednesday and Thursday. We all really appreciate it.
Well done to P7 for organising all the fun activities at the McMillan Coffee Morning. Everyone had a great time!
I wish everyone a wonderful, well-deserved holiday. Remember to stay safe and healthy. Enjoy spending time with your families. Get outdoors in the glorious Autumn colours! I look forward to seeing you soon.
