We have mangaed to get outside a bit this week as the weather has been so nice. Please don't forget the sun cream and to name all items as many are being left out on the field at breaktimes!

In literacy we were learning to take notes from a detailed picture and then convert them into sentences. We designed an information brochure for Stirling Castle in writing and practised copying a poem from the smartboard for handwriting.

In numeracy we moved onto weight as part of our measurement unit. We had to calculate and compare weights using a balance scale.

We are now puting the finishing touches to our personal projects on Wallace and Bruce. We have researched about the homes, clothes, food and transport of the time as well as the battles and armies. For the remainder of the term we will have the opportuity to choose a mini project of interest to complete and share with the class.

In art we drew interesting head and shoulders self portraits, where we depicted our interests and hobbies in our drawing. For P.E. we tried out a variety of  athletics stations and enjoyed the various challenges.

For outdoor learning we had to look for and record any signs of wildlife, such as footprints, feathers, nibbled leaves etc. We also did some more litter picking as part of our John Muir Challenge.

Wishing everyone a great weekend. Enjoy the sunshine.
