I hope you enjoyed the extra holiday Monday this week.

In Literacy, we wrote about life cycles as part of our Outdoor Learning programme. We continued our P5 Keyword spelling and comprehension work and completed a handwriting exercise, copying a passage of text about clothes worn in 1300s Scotland.

In Numeracy we further consolidated our number work, again focusing on multiplication and division, and their connection.

We researched more about Scotland's castles this week in topic and made labelled diagrams. We learned about some of the children's jobs in the castle and agreed that they sounded pretty harsh!! We also created a castle 'window view' picture in Art using coloured pastels.

In Outdoor Learning we watched a video about life cycles and looked for examples a round our playground. A small group helped Ms Rennie to weed the class planter, in preparation for planting next week.

Could I give a gentle reminder for anyone still to send in the £3 Stirling Castle trip money, to do so at the beginning of next week. We will be going on Wednesday. Many thanks.

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Mrs Heggie
